Mast Finishes
Will-Burt offers a variety of finishes for aluminum and composite masts. These advanced finishes are designed to prolong the life of the mast and reduce maintenance. They have been field proven around the world from the high temperatures and dust conditions of the harshest desert regions to the constant rain and salt exposure of the coasts. Custom finishes and colors can also be created to meet specific program requirements.

Clear Hardcoat has a charcoal gray color. This finish meets MIL-A-8625, Type III, Class 1. Available with permanent PTFE (Teflon®) lubricant in the finish which provides a permanent lubricant, reducing seal wear and need for routine maintenance. |
Black Hardcoat - Aluminum Masts | ![]() | Black Hardcoat -AN05 Black Hardcoat with PTFE -AN06 | Black Hardcoat – Aluminum Masts Standard on pneumatic military mast models, Black Hardcoat mast finish is a highly technical process of hard anodizing aluminum surfaces with black dye. Telescoping masts with this abrasion resistant finish will have increased durability and corrosion protection for extreme environmental conditions and will have extended life expectancy. This process has been tested worldwide under all environmental conditions for pneumatic and QEAM masts in military applications. This finish meets MIL-A-8625, Type III, Class 2. Masts with Black Hardcoat will meet the salt fog requirement of MIL-STD-810F, Method 509.4 for marine environments.
