Will-Burt to Introduce Three New Products at IWCE
Ultra Heavy-Duty Mast on ITS MT Trailer with Tilt System to be Featured Product
March 6, 2015
The Will-Burt Company along with its subsidiary ITS will introduce the Ultra Heavy-Duty pneumatic mast integrated onto the ITS MT Series trailer with tilt system. Will-Burt will also introduce a new line of Pan and Tilt Positioners and Air Compressors at the International Wireless Communications Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada March 18th (Booth #769)
The Ultra Heavy-Duty Mast offers a total payload lifting capacity of 1,200 pounds (544 kg) at 59 feet (18m). The top tube of the mast can deploy payloads up to 1,000 pounds (453 kg) and another 200 pounds (91 kg) can be deployed from intermediate tubes. Compared to hydraulic steel masts, it delivers higher lifting capacity at a lower weight of 880 pounds (399 kg). It does not require hydraulic fluid for elevation thus eliminating the potential for environmentally hazardous leaks.
The Ultra mast delivers better unguyed performance making urban deployment in parking lots and tight locations less complicated and much faster. The Ultra mast’s locking collar design allows for long-term deployment without air pressure. The Ultra mast integrated onto the ITS MT trailer and tilt system delivers a compact elevation platform ideally suited for temporary cellular sites to meet increased capacity requirements or critical emergency circumstances. COTS solutions are available along with custom applications to meet specific requirements.
Will-Burt will also introduce a new line of pan and tilt positioners at IWCE. PositionIt is available in two variations. Both the 100 Ft.-lbs. and 50 Ft-lbs. models are designed to deliver the pointing accuracy needed by the communications industry. The maintenance-free design carries an IP 68 rating which keeps water and dust out of the unit so performance is maintained for the life of the product. Backlash is minimized with precision turned and milled components with ball races on major axes. Regenerative braking on the motor shaft ensures smooth operation. PositionIt operates using Pelco-D commands making integration into control systems easy and trouble-free. Will-Burt offers a Pelco-D controller with keyboard and presets to further simplify operation.
Lastly, Will-Burt will be introducing an entirely new line of air compressors for its pneumatic masts. The compressors are oil-free and maintenance-free and each comes in a protective enclosure. They are available in a variety of voltages to meet the requirements of the worldwide markets Will-Burt serves. Finally, each compressor includes a hand-held controller that safely operates the operation of the compressor.
“We are proud to be able to deliver three innovative new products that meet the needs of our customers,” said Jeff Evans, Will-Burt’s President, CEO and Chairman. “As the market leader in mobile elevation solutions, we take pride in our relationships with our partners that enable us to identify market requirements and develop solutions that add value to their bottom line.”
